Das Moorland ist eine leicht torfige, jedoch feste Gegend. Man kann hier als Hund ohne einzusinken langspringen. Es wachsen viele Birken und von Zeit zu Zeit läuft man einem umgefallenen Baum über den Weg. Das Graß wächst hier hoch und hat eine leicht vertrocknete goldene Farbe.
Noch immer atmete ich schwer und besah mir die Umgebung, in welcher ich gelandet war. Das sichtlich verdorrene Gras reichte mir grade mal knapp an die Kniegelenke und kitzele mich dort leicht. Ich brummte und begann zu wittern. Doch der Geruch der Menschen war nirgendwo auszumachen. Ob ich nun meinen Frieden finden würde? Ich schnupperte erneut, sog nahezu die Luft tief in meine Lungen ein. Doch nicht einmal der Geruch eines anderen Hundes war auszumachen. Einem natürlichen Trieb folgend, setzte ich - wenn auch unbewusst - eine Markierung, um diesen Ort als mein Gebiet zu markieren. Der Duft der Markierung war sehr streng und teilte jedem Fremdling mit, dass hier ein starker, dominanter Hund lebte. Ruhig begann ich nun weiter zu laufen.
